Malwarebytes Trial
When Malwarebytes installs, you get a free 14-day trial of their Premium Protection.

I like to run the Real-Time Protection at least once before turning it off.

You can let it run the full 14 days and it will tell you your trial is over and it is time to buy it. You do not have to; just choose “I don’t need real-time protection” and click OK. Your account will be set to the free version.

As you can see in the above image, I chose the free option and all the premium options were turned off.

Remember that the free version does not run by itself. You need to run it often to be sure things are cleaned out.

File Explorer Explained

Quick access are links to recently accessed folders

Dropbox shows what you have synced to your Dropbox account

OneDrive shows what you have synced to your Microsoft OneDrive cloud

This PC shows all the devices on our PC and the folders and files on them

Network shows what others computer you have in your home network

If you do not want to sync to Dropbox (you only have 2GB of free space) then uninstall the application (Win+I > Apps). I purchased 2TB of space on Dropbox.

OneDrive needs a Microsoft Account to use it. With that free account, you have 5GB of space for whatever you place in the OneDrive folder on your PC. You may purchase additional space. If you have Office 365 you have 1TB of space included with it.

Switch Power Schemes And Control The Monitor's Brightness
How often do you change power schemes on your computer? You may not need the system running on max performance all the time, but if you are working on intensive tasks or gaming, you'll want it running in top gear. Battery Mode is a program that can help you with it, it lets you switch power schemes with a hotkey and also allows you to control the monitor's brightness directly from the system tray.

Resizing Images Using Irfanview
Just after a Holiday trip, you are trying to mail trip photos to your family and friends, and you realized that the size of each photo is more than 5MB, and sending those 100 photos over email will not be possible. Don’t worry, all you need to do is to resize your photos and reduce their file size.
